PURPOSE: To prevent a combustion furnace from melting owing to abnormal increase of temperature, by providing a temperature detector and heater for the combustion furnace and control means of blower in a perishable food storage apparatus for feeding carbon dioxide gas generated from the combustion furnace to a storage house for vegetables, fruits, etc.
CONSTITUTION: In a perishable food storage apparatus for feeding carbon dioxide gas generated in a combustion furnace 12 for burning carbon-containing fuel 19 to a storage house for perishable food and circulating air of the storage house 1 to the combustion furnace 12 by the action of blower 14 and adsorbing excess carbon dioxide in gases generated from the combustion furnace 12 with adsorbers 22 and 23, a temperature detector 48 is provided in the combustion furnace. When furnace temperature attains definite temperature or above, change-over bulb 50 and 51 are operated by the signal from the detector 48 and direct fire heater for fuel and blower 14 are stopped and control means 49 for giving an alarm are provided.
