To provide a tire incorporated with the self-inflation function for compensating for reduction with time of tire pressure, without intervention of a driver, by self-inflating the tire.
A tire assembly 10 comprises a tire 12, an annular air passage 26, an inlet air passage portal 28 for sending air into the air passage and an outlet air passage portal 30 for sending out the air from the air passage. The annular air passage is integrally formed in and surrounded by tire sidewalls 16 and 22, and substantially forms at least one loop of drawing the periphery along the tire sidewalls. The annular air passage successively becomes flat with every segment by a blocking-up part of the rotating tire, and thereby, successively sends the air along the air passage. The inlet air passage portal 28 and the outlet air passage portal 30 are mutually arranged in the proximity relationship so as to be positioned in the blocking-up part 38 of a common passage segment when the tire rotates.
