Abstract:
To improve the biocompatibility of peritoneal dialysate by pre- excluding the toxicity and reactivity of glucose decomposition products contained in the dialysate.
The peritoneal dialysate using glucose as an osmotic agent has an effective amount of carbonyl eliminator added thereto which reacts with the active groups of glucose decomposition products present in the dialysate to reduce the reactivity of the decomposition products.
