Abstract:
To provide a permanent current switch in which switching from on to off is accelerated.SOLUTION: Permanent current switches S1, S2, S3 include non-inductive coils around which a superconducting tape 10 is wound. By winding the superconducting tape 10, a superconducting layer 16 (superconductor) is disposed in a spiral shape. Furthermore, a heater tape 20 provided as a part of or separately from the superconducting tape 10 is disposed in a spiral shape along the superconducting layer 16 between turns of the superconducting layer 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
