Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a permanent magnet fixing unit for eddy current type reduction gear in which a permanent magnet can be fixed perfectly in any direction using only a stopper metal without requiring any special machining of magnet supporting ring.
CONSTITUTION: In a reduction gear provided with a mechanism for controlling the eddy current to be generated in a rotor by the magnetic circuit of permanent magnet, recessed fitting step parts 14a are provided in the opposite end faces of a permanent magnet 14 and corresponding protrusions 15a are provided on the opposite end faces of a nonmagnetic stopper metal 15 interposed between adjacent permanent magnets. They are engaged each other and a nonmagnetic bolt 17 is passed through the stopper metal 15 and tightened to a magnet supporting ring 13.
