PURPOSE: To provide a method for joining a heat resistant alloy excellent in electric insulating property, heat resistance and heat cycle resistance, and especially high in bonding strength are ensured.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of an Al-contg. heat resistant alloy is oxidized to form an alumina-based oxidized coating film, metallic Ti or Zr is disposed on one side of the alloy and they are heated in a nonoxidizing atmosphere to enhance the adhesion of the coating film to the alloy by diffusion in the alloy. An oxide having 800-1,400°C m.p. and ≤1mm thickness is then interposed and the heat resistant alloy is joined by heating to a temp. corresponding to ≥9/10 of the m.p. of the oxide to form the objective joined body of the heat resistant alloy having heat resistance at about ≥800°C, resistance to a heat cycle with a temp. difference of room temp. to ≥800°C and electric insulating property and especially excellent in bonding strength.
