To provide a perpendicular transfer device not damaging the perpendicular transfer device itself and accessories such as a mixing device by reducing a drop height of a transferred article such as concrete.
This device comprises hollow transportation pipes 1a-1e, to which a transferred article drops perpendicularly and is supplied, and a drop article storing part 5, which is installed at a middle of a perpendicular portion of the transportation pipes 1a-1e and to which all of the dropping transfer articles collide. The transportation pipes 1a-1e are displaced from each other in a horizontal direction, and overlapped with each other in part along a perpendicular direction, so as to communicate and connect with each other. These operations are repeated, so as to communicate a plurality of the transportation pipes 1a-1e with each other in the perpendicular direction. The dropping article storing part 5 is provided at bottom ends of the transportation pipes 1a-1e, so that the dropping transfer article C collides with and reacts against the preceding transfer article C already remaining at the dropping article storing part 5, and then continues to move and drop in the transportation pipes continued in the perpendicular direction.
