Title:
PERPENDICULARLY INTERSECTING TYPE ROLLING FRICTION TRANSMISSION GEAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07158709
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a perpendicularly intersecting type rolling friction transmission gear, in which load distribution is not deviated on the pressure contact surface.

CONSTITUTION: A shaft 11, on which a small tapered roller 16a is mounted, and a shaft 18a, on which a large tapered roller 21a is mounted, are arranged perpendicularly to one another, and power is transmitted between the shafts 11 and 18a by pressure-contacting the tapered surfaces of the both tapered rollers 16a and 21a. The large tapered roller 21a has a soft structure that is bent by the pressure contact force of the small tapered roller 16a. The both tapered surfaces can respond in a desired condition to a case where the large tapered roller 21a is bent by means of the pressure contact force of the small tapered roller 16a while a tapered gap 1 gradually tapered as the radius becomes shorter is formed between the tapered surfaces of the tapered rollers 16a and 21a in a fitted condition. In addition, another device, in which the tapered surface is bent and worked, is also provided.
