Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable digital assistant capable of facilitating selection of a use purpose and reliably performing operation in the selected use purpose.SOLUTION: A personal digital assistant whose telephone number is identified by connecting a memory medium, includes: a housing posture confirmation unit for confirming posture (direction) of a housing of the personal digital assistant; a first memory connection unit capable of connecting a first memory medium to identify the personal digital assistant by a first telephone number; a second memory connection unit capable of connecting a second memory medium to identify the personal digital assistant by a second telephone number; and a control unit. The control unit controls to validate one of the first memory connection unit and the second memory connection unit in accordance with the confirmation result of the posture (direction) of the housing of the personal digital assistant by the housing posture confirmation unit.
