To prevent an unauthorized access of a person except for an original person with a remote operation and to improve security in a system transmitting authentication data inputted by a portable terminal to an individual authentication device.

A system is provided with a pattern generation part 13 generating a random pattern, a display part 5 displaying the generated random pattern, a transmission/reception part 2 receiving a face picture of an authenticated person, which the portable terminal photographs, and the random pattern, a face collation part 11 collating the received face picture with that of a registrant, which is stored in a storage part, a pattern collation part 14 collating the received random pattern with that generated in the pattern generation part 13 and a judging part 15 judging that the authenticated person is the registrant when collation results of the collation parts 11 and 14 are normal.
