To provide a personal identification medium and an attendance management system with which attendance information can be easily checked.
The personal identification medium 2 is used for punching in of time when coming into office and leaving office and an ID is allotted for specifying an individual. The personal identification medium 2 is provided with: a receiving means for coming into office and leaving office date and time for receiving the date and time of coming into office and the date and time for leaving office from an external terminal 4 along with a punching operation of the coming into office and leaving office of the individual to the external terminal 4; a coming into office and leaving office data and time storing means 42 for performing nonvolatile storage of received coming into office and leaving office date and time; a personal information storing means 41 for storing personal information 51 regarding the individual; and a display means 35 for displaying the coming into office date and time, the leaving office date and time and the personal information 51. The display means displays a history record 52 of the stored coming into office date and time and the leaving office date and time.
