To provide a method capable of heightening pest control effect of a resin molding or a fiber molding containing a pest control agent, and to provide a pest control material having heightened control effect.

This pest control material is formed by applying an insect pest attractant onto the surface of a resin molding or a fiber molding containing the pest control material. The pest control material can impart easily attracting effect to an optional insect pest to the molding, regardless of the kind or the composition of the resin molding or the fiber molding containing the pest control material, and further the kind of the pest control material contained in the molding, or the like. Especially, the insect pest attractant corresponding to an object insect pest can be selected properly and applied onto the resin molding or the fiber molding containing the pest control agent on a field of industry such as a farm, a barn, a fish market or a food factory, or further on a field of an ordinary home or the like, and therefor many kinds of moldings are not required to be prepared, and cost necessary for pest control can be reduced.
