Abstract:

To provide a pest insect attracting exterminator containing dried powder of silk worm chrysalis, in which the poor formability of the prior exterminator is improved, whose appetizing and attracting properties toward pest insects are not reduced, or rather, whose appetizing property and accompanying attracting property are surely improved.

The pest insect-attracting exterminator contains an insecticide ingredient, dried powder of silk worm chrysalis of 0.1-14 wt.%, and a polyol additive such as glycerin, diethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, or propylene glycol as an auxiliary agent for improving the formability and the appetizing property. The auxiliary agent is soluble in water or has an appropriate hygroscopicity, is a solid or a liquid that is hardly volatile with time, and has an appropriate sweetness for attracting pest insects. Having these characteristics, the exterminator can efficient be formed into appropriate dosage forms, does not become dry or hardened on use even when it is left untouched for a long time, and can stably maintain its attracting property.
