Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A thiazolyl-5-carboxamide derivative of formula I [R3 is 2- or 3-furanyl or 2- or 3-thienyl; R1 and R2 are each a 3-6C cycloalkyl optionally substd. by a substituent (e.g. methyl, methylthio), CH2-X-R4 (X is O or S; R4 is a 1-4C alkyl, phenyl or benzyl, all being optionally substituted), or one of R1 and R2 may be H or a 1-4C alkyl], its acid addition salt and its metal salt complex.
EXAMPLE: 2-(2-Methoxymethyl-3-methylthiazolyl-5-carbonylamino)-2-(3-thienyl)- acetonitrile.
USE: A pest-controlling composition.
PROCESS: A thiazolyl-5-carboxylic acid of formula II or its acid halide, ester or anhydride is reacted with an aminoiacetonitrile of formula III in the presence or absence of a condensing agent or an acid acceptor.
