The PET bottle pretreating facility comprises the steps of guiding PET bottle pieces 4 cut by a cutter A and sent to a cleaning tank 5, rotating an obliquely installed screw conveyor 6 in the tank 5, carrying the cleaned bottle pieces 4' while cleaning the pieces 4, guiding the pieces 4 to a rinsing tank 9 of a next step, rotating an obliquely installed screw conveyor 6 in the tank 9, carrying the rinsed bottle pieces 4" upward while rinsing the pieces 4', guiding the pieces 4" to a compressor D of a next step, and compressing the pieces 4" by a compressing roller 10.
