Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress fluctuation in carriage by lowering the duty of applying signal for two-phase exciting interval when the carrying load lowers in a system where a step motor subjected to 1-2 phase excitation is employed as a drive source.
CONSTITUTION: In the carrying system of recorder, a rolled thermal recording paper is carried with the end thereof being held between the recording section of a thermal head 2 and a platen roller when the platen roller is rotated with the power of a step motor SM5 through a transmission mechanism. A 1-2 phase exciting SM5 is employed in order to carry the recording paper smoothly. A control section 10 for controlling conduction of the SM5 through an SM driving circuit 11 controls the duty of driving signal being applied onto the SM5 to lower for each 2-phase exciting interval during predetermined carrying interval where the carrying load lowers thus reducing the driving power and suppressing fluctuation of carriage.
