Title:
OVERVOLTAGE DETECTION CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3108851
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable only a switching power supply circuit in overvoltage state to output an overvoltage detection signal by supplying current to a load via a diode and outputting an overvoltage detection signal from a detection output circuit when the output signals of first and second comparators are both at high levels (or low levels).
CONSTITUTION: A diode 10 is provided to supply DC current from a rectification smoothing circuit 3 to a load 6. Then, when the forward voltage of the diode 10 is equal or more than 0, a high-level (low-level) signal is outputted from a first comparator 11. Then, a voltage applied to the load is compared with a reference voltage. Then, when the voltage applied to the load is higher than the reference voltage, the high-level (or low-level) signal is outputted from a second comparator 12. When the output signals of the first and second comparators 11 and 12 are at high level (or low level), a detection output circuit 14 outputs an overvoltage detection signal.
