Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a metal such as vanadium in a heavy oil by a high- temperature high-pressure water to thereby prevent a catalyst from being poisoned and realize the use of a catalyst for a long time in the step of catalytic reaction such as hydrorefining in a petroleum refining process.
SOLUTION: Oil reforming equipment consisting of a reactor for mixing and reacting a supercritical water, a heavy oil and an oxidizing agent and subjecting a metal such as vanadium to elimination reaction, and a catching unit for removing the eliminated metal in a liquid by an acceptor is installed on the upstream of a petroleum refining process. Accordingly, a metal such as vanadium is eliminated from a heavy oil by a high-temperature high-pressure water and an oxidizing agent and accepted by an acceptor. The catalyst is prevented from being poisoned and can be used for a long time by sending a heavy oil reduced in content of the metal to the refining process. The cost of operation of a petroleum refining plant is reduced, and the efficiency is improved.
