Abstract:
A medicinal composition containing a sialic acid derivative as the active ingredient and usable as an antiviral agent, diarrhea remedy, antiulcer agent, antiinflammatory agent, antiallergic agent and bifidus growth accelerator. A process for producing the derivative comprises adding almond or apricot seeds to an avian egg yolk, and can provide the target substance readily in a high yield.
