PURPOSE: To obtain a new NhydroxyN-[3(2-substd. phenyl)prop-2enyl]urea and thiourea and their salts useful as an antiasthmatic or antiarthritic drug, a drug for adult dyspnea syndrome, and antiischemic drug.
CONSTITUTION: This invention provides Nhydroxy-N[3(2-substd. phenyl)prop2- enyl]urea and thiourea expressed by formula I and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, for example, N-hydroxyN-[3[2-(2propinylthio) phenyl]prop2-enyl]urea. In formula I, X is O, Si; Y is O, S; R1 is H, an alkyl, a cycloalkyl; R2 is H, methyl; R4 is H, a halogen; (n) is 1, 2; R3 is an alkenyl, an alkadienyl, an alkatrienyl, an alkynyl, an alkenyl, a cycloalkylmethyl, a (substd.) styryl, a (substd.) phenylethynyl. The compd. of formula I, especially a compd. with R1 being H is obtd. from a compd. expressed by formula II as the starting material via compds. expressed by formula III, formula IV (Z is a halogen) and formula V.
