To provide a pharmaceutical composition sustained-releasing an active ingredient which has 3-(3-dimethylamino-1-ethyl-2-methyl-propyl) phenol in form of a matrix.
The matrix contains 1-80 wt.% of one or more kinds of hydrophilic or hidrophobic polymers as a pharmaceutically acceptable matrix forming agent and shows the following decomposition speed in vitro: after 0.5 hr, 3 to 35 wt.% of 3-(3-dimethylamino-1-ethyl-2-methyl-propyl)phenol (relative to 100 wt.% of an active ingredient) is released after half an hour, 5-50 wt.% after 1 hr, 10-75 wt.% after 2 hr, 15-82 wt.% of 3-(3-dimethylamino-1-ethyl-2-methyl-propyl)phenol after 3 hr, 30-97 wt.% after 6 hr, more than 50 wt.% after 12 hr, more than 70 wt.% after 18 hr and more than 80 wt.% after 24 hr.
