Abstract:

To provide a phase change ink carrier composition which has a low viscosity when it is in a liquid phase and has a low coefficient of fraction on glass when it is in a solid phase.

This composition is prepared by combining 5-50 wt.% first urethane resin being the reaction product of at least one alcohol being a linear monohydric aliphatic alcohol of a carbon chain length of 20 or longer with an isocyanate with 5-50 wt.% second urethane resin being the reaction product of at least one linear monohydric aliphatic alcohol of a carbon chain length of 20 or longer with at least one chromogen-containing nucleophilic reagent and 30-80 wt.% at least one polyethylene wax.
