Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a phase converter for converting single phase power easily into three-phase power at low cost thus making it possible to operate a three- phase electric appliance at a place where only single phase power supply is available.
CONSTITUTION: The phase converter for converting single phase power into three-phase power comprises a converter 1 for converting single phase power into DC power, an inverter 2 for inverting DC output of the converter 1 into AC power, and a three-phase generating circuit 3 generating three-phase power for the inverter 2.
