Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the displacement of a phase at high speed in simple configuration.
SOLUTION: A phase area detecting means 21 finds one of a plurality of angle areas E(0)-E(M-1), M equals to three or more obtained by equally dividing the angle range of 2π in which the phase determined by an inputted in-phase signal I and a quadrature signal Q is settled and detects an area number assigned to that angle area, and a phase displacement detecting means 22 finds a difference between that detected area number and an area number detected before. A boundary over detecting means 25 investigates whether or not an area number difference Δpk is settled within a range preset concerning the number of areas, M, and outputs data presenting whether or not the phase is displaced over the boundary of the first angle area E(0) and the final angle area E(M-1), and a detecting means of the number of rotations 26 finds the number of rotations by accumulating such data. A displacement accumulating means 27 finds the cumulative value of the phase displacement from the number of rotations, the area number and the number of the areas M.
