Title:
ELECTRONIC STRINGED INSTRUMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3214070
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the electronic stringed instrument that is not decreased in the number of musical sounds which can be generated at the same time below the number of sound sources as to an electronic stringed instrument which detects the pitches of vibrations of respective strings and assigns pitch data to the sound sources to generate sounds.
CONSTITUTION: When the result of decision making in a step S20 is YES, this means that pitch data of newly struck strings which is previously stored in CPTReg is the same as pitch data as the content of (k)th PT Reg which is read in an A register in a step S18 and the same pitch is generated by different strings. In this case, processes in steps S28-S33 are executed in order to forcibly eliminate the musical sounds of the same pitch, and new pitch data is assigned to a sound source to generate a sound. Therefore, when pitch data are assigned to all of three sound sources, the same pitch data is not assigned to the sound sources repeatedly and the number of musical sound which can be generated simultaneously never decreases below the number of the sound sources.
