To provide a phase difference film not only useful for improving viewing angle characteristics of liquid crystal displays but also of good reworkability and exhibiting good durability when laminated to other components such as polarizers and glass cells by adhesives and then used as a liquid crystal display.
The phase difference film has an inner layer interposed between two outer layers, both outer layers are formed of a non-styrene polymeric material, the inner layer is formed of a polymeric material having a negative intrinsic birefringence, and the phase difference film has a negative intrinsic birefringence and a Haze of 0-1%. The polymeric material constituting the inner layer contains polymer containing copolymer obtained by copolymerizing compound selected from compound selected from an α-olefin group as a group (A) containing two or more carbon atoms, compound selected from an aromatic vinyl compound group as a group (B), and compound selected from a cyclic olefin as a group (C).
