Abstract:
To provide a phase indexing method which can shorten a processing time as a whole by efficiently measuring an outside diameter of a processed part of workpiece, and a grinding method.SOLUTION: A grinder 1 indexes a phase of a workpiece W by using a rotation angle of a spindle 12a at the contact detection of two points at an upper side and a lower side by a touch probe 40 having a tip detection part 41, and a position of the tip detection part 41, and acquires a pin diameter r1 being an outside diameter of an eccentric part Wa by a calculation based on a geometrical relationship between the eccentric part Wa and the tip detection part 41. By performing grinding processing by setting a rough grinding start diameter xs by using the pin diameter r1, a rapid feed distance becomes long, and a rough grinding distance becomes short, thus shortening a processing time as a whole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
