NEW MATERIAL:A phenylacetone derivative expressed by formula I [R1 and R2 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxyl, halogen or CF3; A and B are lower alkylene; Y and Z are N or CR3 (R3 is the same as R1 and R2)] or an acid addition salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: 1-(4-Phenyl-1-piperazinyl)-3-phenyl-2-propanone hydrochloride.
USE: An anti-anxiety drug having the anti-anxiety action, and administered in 1W 300mg, preferably 5W100mg/adult/day dose once or in several portions.
PREPARATION: A phenylacetone derivative expressed by formula II (X1 is eliminative group) is condensed with an amine derivative expressed by formula III in an organic solvent, e.g. dimethylformamide, in the presence of an acid binder, e.g. anhydrous Na2CO3, at room temperature under heating to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I .
