PURPOSE: To enlarge a processing capacity at a low cost in total by storing a transmission information and transfer stage information with their receiving from a phisical distribution management computer, also transferring a transfer object, and deciding a transfer destination automatically and providing an auto matic transfer device which transfers the transfer object to the following trans fer stage.

CONSTITUTION: A transmission information and transfer stage information prepared by a phisical distribution managing computor 1 are transmitted to an automatic transfer device 2 through a computor station control unit 3, at a transfer work starting time. Then, on indication of the work start from the calculator 1, the automatic transfer device 2 goes to the place of a feeding work station control unit 4A, a transmission information is transmitted, on completion of the transmission, the automatic transfer device 2 returns to the place of the computor station control unit 3. At a feeding work station 5A, the work is executed according to the transmission information, and it is inputted to a line from the carry-out side of the station in order. Thereafter, the work is executed with the automatic transfer device 2 deciding the stage progress of a transfer object and the following work stage among each station.
