Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R1WR3 are OH, alkoxyl, alkanoylamino, etc.; A is lower alkylene; R4 is alkylammonio, cyclic ammonio or cyclic amino; R6 is oxide anion or OH) and a salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: Methyl-2-O-methyl-3-O-octadecyl-β-D-xylofuranoside= 5- ( choline-phosphate).
USE: An antitumor agent.
PROCESS: A compound of formula II (X is acid residue), e.g. methyl-2-O-methyl- 3-O-octadecyl-β-D-xylofuranoside-5-(2-bromoethyl-phosphate, or a salt thereof is reacted with an alkylamine or cyclic amimne or a salt thereof, e.g. trimethylamine.
