Abstract:

To provide a novel phosphoric acid polymer achieving an increase in proton conductivity in a low humidified condition and to provide an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell, securing high proton conductivity even under the low humidified condition.

The phosphoric acid polymer is obtained by coupling carbon of a saturated hydrocarbon containing molecule chain structure expressed by structural formula (1) as a repeating unit and constituting a main chain and a phosphonic acid group of side chain terminal via amide bond and fluoroethylene group. A electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell uses the phosphoric acid polymer and the fuel cell uses the same.
