To obtain a photocatalyst body exhibiting improved treating effect on the deodorization, the decomposition of organic substances, or the like by increasing the treating effect by a photocatalyst, and to obtain a photocatalytically deodorizing device and a photocatalytically water-purifying device, using the photocatalyst body.
In the photocatalyst body, the surface of metal is subjected to an insulating film treatment before the surface of the metal is coated with the photocatalyst. Thereby, electrons generated on the photocatalyst by irradiation with ultraviolet rays are prevented from escaping to the metal side, and giving and receiving of the electrons are carried out on the surface of the photocatalyst, and the photocatalytic activity is enhanced. The photocatalyst body is formed into a honeycomb structure, and the photocatalyst body having the honeycomb structure is utilized as the photocatalytically deodorizing device and the photocatalytically water-purifying device, for improving deodorizing and organic substance decomposing effects.
