Abstract:

To provide a water purifying system which exhibits catalyst performance of a photocatalyst fixed on a carrier and can perform a cleaning action even in the place where sunlight does not reach.

The water purifying system includes: a cleaning part I including a photocatalyst-carrying silicon carbide filter 100 having a porous silicon carbide structural material 10 carrying the photocatalyst and an ultraviolet transparent material 20 disposed inside the porous silicon carbide structural material 10; an ultraviolet light emission part II for introducing ultraviolet energy generated by a light emitting diode (LED) 200 into the ultraviolet transparent material 20 of the cleaning part I; and a power supply part III for supplying electric power generated by a solar cell unit to the ultraviolet light emission part II.
