Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalytic coating composition capable of adjusting a refractive index, coating film density, and hydrophilic characteristics and improving strength of a coating film and adhesiveness of the film. SOLUTION: The photocatalytic coating composition comprises (1) an alkali silicate aqueous solution containing (A) 4-30 of molar ratio of silicate and alkali (SiO2 /(A2 O+B) (A: alkaline metal, B: NH3 ) and (B) 608-30 wt.% of concentraion of silicon in termes of oxide (Sio2 concentrtion) and (2) a photocatalytic compound.
