Abstract:
To provide a photocatalyst performance evaluation method that can evaluate the performance of a visible light responsive photocatalyst with higher accuracy than a conventional one.
A method for evaluating the performance of a visible light responsive photocatalyst 2 showing photocatalyst action by irradiating visible light 1 includes bringing the photocatalyst 2 into contact with a DNA solution 4 containing single strand DNA 3, and after irradiating the visible light 1, adding complementary single strand DNA 5 having a base sequence complementary to the base sequence of the single strand DNA 3, into the DNA solution 4 to determine double strand DNA 6 produced by hybridization.
