Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the efficiency of tongue cutting process by a method wherein a tongue, the removal amount from which is smaller, is machined at the side part, which has located at the middle part of stock board, of each split board, while a tongue the removal amount from which is larger, is machined at the side part, which has located at the side part of the stock board, of each split board at the machining of a pair of the tongues in each split board.
CONSTITUTION: In both split boards 2 and 2, as indicated in the side surface on their short side sides in the figure, pairs of shiplap tongues 3 and 4 are machined at the side parts of respective long sides. In this case, at the side parts, which have located at the middle part of stock board, of each split board 2 or at the right side part of the left side split board 2 and at the left side part of the right side split board 2, respective upper tongues 3 are machined, while at the side parts, which have located at the side parts of the stock board, of the respective split boards 2 or at the left side part of the left side split board 2 and at the right side part of the right side split board 2, respective lower tongues 4 are machined. Or, at the machining of a pair of shiplap tongues 3 and 4 in each split board 2, the upper tongue 3, the removal amount from which is smaller, is machined at the hard side part, which has located at the middle part of the stock board, while the lower tongue 4, the removal amount from which is larger, is machined at the non-hard side part, which has located at the side part of the stock board.
