Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a photochromic material having high elution resistance of photochromic substance, by reacting a specific photochromic substance with a precursor of epoxy resin or a precursor of urethane resin to cure the substance.
CONSTITUTION: A photochromic substance shown by the formula [a and b are 0 or 1 and a+b=1; R1 is H, halogen, cyano,lower alkyl, lower alkoxy; R2 is lower (alkoxy)alkyl or various substituted arylalkyls or -(CH2)n-COOR (R is lower alkyl; n is 1W6 integer)] is reacted with (B) a precursor of epoxy resin or a precursor of urethane resin and cured to give the aimed photochromic material.
EFFECT: Has low viscosity, is readily applied and easily produced.
