Title:
PHOTOCHROMIC MOLDED PRODUCT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2575246
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject molded product improved in the durability of the photochromic action and useful as a photochromic lens material, etc., by dispersing resin particles containing a specific spirooxazine compound and having a specified average particle diameter in a thermosetting resin.
CONSTITUTION: A2H-indole compound represented by formula I, etc., and a quinoline compound represented by formula II, etc., are dissolved in ethyl alcohol, and reacted with each other by refluxing for 2hrs to produce a spirooxazine compound of formula III [R1, R2 are alkyl; R3 is hydrocarbon, etc.; R4, R5 are H, halogen, hydrocarbon, alkoxy, etc.; R. is H, halogen, hydrocarbon, etc.; the group of formula IV is group of formula V (R7 is H, halogen, hydrocarbon, etc.,), etc.,], which is shaped together with a chromene compound into resin particles having an average particle diameter of 0.01-100μm by an interfacial polycondensation method. The resin particles are dispersed in chlorostyrene and 2,2-bis (3,5-dibromo-4-methacryloyl oxyethoxyphenyl)propane and subjected to a radical polymerization reaction to obtain the objective photochromic molded product.
