A photoconductive type light receiving element detects a light by using the change of electric resistance which is generated by a light which enters a light receiving surface LS. The light receiving surface LS is constituted of surface conducting layers formed on the surface of diamond 2, constituted by arranging a plurality of light receiving parts LP different in spectral sensitivity, and constituted so as to be able to measure individually each electric resistance of the light receiving parts LP.
