Abstract:
To provide a photoconverter which is arranged, so that the optical fiber for connecting the main body of the photoconverter mounted on the high- voltage side of an insulator type transformer having a signal processor on the ground side does not cause dielectric breakdown.
An optical fiber 8, which connects the main body 1 of a photo converter with a signal processor 6, is made in spiral form. Hereby, the creep distance between the high voltage side and the ground side is sufficiently enlarged to prevent dielectric breakdown.
