To provide a photocurable color composition for a color filter, the composition having excellent developability of a pattern, leaving little residue on a substrate, and giving a pattern with a large aperture diameter of a contact hole and a high residual ratio even after post-baking, to provide a method for manufacturing a color filter with excellent color reproducibility, and to provide a color filter and a liquid crystal display device.
The photocurable color composition for a color filter contains (A) an organic solvent, (B) a pigment, (C) a photopolymerization initiator, (D) a polymerizable compound and (E) a binder. The (D) polymerizable compound contains at least one kind of compound selected from the following compounds (I) and (II). The compounds are (I) a polymerizable compound having a (meth)acryloyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, a hydroxyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms derived from a glycidyl group, and a cyclic structure except for an aromatic ring, and (II) a polymerizable compound having a (meth)acryloyl group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, a hydroxyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms derived from a glycidyl group, and a branched structure.
