PURPOSE: To produce a photocurable resin composition and a coating material excellent in curability and adhesion to metal from inexpensive materials.

CONSTITUTION: A photocurable resin composition comprising an acrylic resin (I) obtained by reacting a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing 20-50wt.% glycidyl (meth)acrylate with 10-50wt.% butyl (meth)acrylate and 10-70wt.% unsaturated compound having one polymerizable unsaturated group in the molecule with (meth)acrylic acid, a photopolymerizable monomer (II) and a photopolymerization initiator (III), wherein the weight ratio of component I to component II is 30/70-90/10 and the amount of component III is 0.1-10wt.% based on the total of components I and II.
