Abstract:
To provide a photodetection device capable of measuring the degree or phase of coherence of light from an object without using a complicated optical system.SOLUTION: A photodetection device 13 includes: a light-shielding film containing a plurality of transparent regions 9a and a plurality of light-shielding regions 9A alternately arranged in a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction; a photodetector containing a plurality of first light detection cells and a plurality of second light detection cells arranged on an imaging surface; and an optical coupling layer 12 located between the light-shielding film and the photodetector, including a grating 12d that, when light 6a of a given wavelength is made incident on the plurality of transparent regions, causes a portion 6b of the light to propagate in the first and second directions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
