Abstract:
To improve arrangement flexibility of an active element.SOLUTION: A photodetector includes a semiconductor layer having a first surface and a second surface at positions opposite to each other in a thickness direction, and a photoelectric conversion cell provided on the semiconductor layer and partitioned by a first separation region extending in the thickness direction of the semiconductor layer. The photoelectric conversion cell includes: a first photoelectric conversion region and a second photoelectric conversion region each of which is provided adjacent to each other to the semiconductor layer in a plan view and each having a photoelectric conversion portion and a transfer transistor; a second separation region that is arranged between the first photoelectric conversion region and the second photoelectric conversion region in a plan view and extends in the thickness direction of the semiconductor layer; and an element formation region that is provided on a first surface side of the semiconductor layer and partitioned by a third separation region and provided with a pixel transistor.
