Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a photodetector for extracting the contour of a moving object in an inputted optical image, that an area to be occupied by a circuit part per pixel is reduced. SOLUTION: This device is provided with N units 1001-100N and a contour extracting circuit 40. Each unit 100n has a mutually similar configuration and is provided with M photodetecting cells 101,n-10M,n, integration circuit 20n, A/D converting circuit 30n, switch element SWn01, switch element SWn02 and switch element SWn03. M×N photodetecting cells 101,1-10M,N are two-dimensionally arranged over M rows and N columns and the photodetecting cell 10m,n is positioned on the m-th row and the n-th column. The capacitance value of the integration capacitor part of the integration circuit 20n is equal with the capacitance value of the cell capacitor part of the photodetecting cell 10m,n.
