The photoelectric conversion element 1 has a semiconductor electrode layer 3 absorbing light and releasing electron, and an electrolyte layer 4 maintaining a current by redox reaction arranged adjacent to each other between a transparent conductive layer 2 having a light-incident face and an opposing electrode 5. The semiconductor electrode layer 3 is composed of not less than two kinds of titanium oxide having light absorption spectra different from each other.
