Title:
PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005135656
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a photoelectric conversion element using an organic dye, having high conversion efficiency in the photoelectric conversion element using a dye-sensitized semiconductor.

The photoelectric conversion element sensitizing a metal oxide semiconductor with the organic dye uses a dye having a skeleton represented by formula (1). In the formula (1), n is an integer of ≥5; R1 and R2 may be the same or different, and each represent an elementary atom, a hydroxyl group, a cyano group, a phosphoric group, a sulphonic group, a halogen atom, an aliphatic hydrocarbon residue which may have a substituent group, an aromatic hydrocarbon residue which may have a substituent group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxy group or a carboxyl group, a carbonamido group, or a carbonyl group which is an alkoxy carbonyl group and an acyl group; X represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a selenium atom, a tellenium atom or others, and may be the same or different. R3 represents an aliphatic hydrocarbon residue which may have a substituent group, or others.
