Abstract:
Provided is a photoelectric conversion element which has a laminated structure in which a photoreceptor having a layer of semiconducting microparticles onto which a pigment has been adsorbed, an electric-charge transfer body, and a counter electrode are arranged on the upper side of a conductive substrate, wherein a metal complex pigment expressed by formula (1) is used as the pigment. Formula (1): ML1L2XmXsCI (in formula (1): M represents a metal atom; L1, L2, and X represent specific ligands; mX is 1 or 2; and CI represents a counter ion when a charge requires neutralizing).
