Title:
PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERTING ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2658873
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the potential of a shielding film disrelated to that of the source or drain of a photoelectric converting element, by forming the shielding film with nonconductive organic polymers, a nonmetallic material.
CONSTITUTION: A photoelectric converting element is obtained by forming a shielding film 12, an insulating film 13 and a photoelectric converting film 14 on a transparent insulating glass 11 in this order. Two electrodes 16 whose widths are at a constant distance from each other on the same plane, are formed on the photoelectric converting film 14 in such a way that part of the shielding film 12 is covered. The photoelectric converting film 14 and the electrodes 16 are in ohmic connection with each other through a low-resistance film 15. The shielding film 12 is composed of a nonmetallic film, nonconductive organic polymers, a semiconductor film mainly composed of silicon, metal oxides and so on. After the formation of the shielding film 12, an insulating film and a nitride film are formed for the prevention of elusion of impurities from the shielding film itself and stripping of the film. This achieves a response time of 1msec or less and a brightness ratio of 1000 or above.
