To provide a photoelectric image sensor for electronic shattering and frequency filtering.
An example of a photoelectric image sensor is provided with a conductive frame to be biased arranged adjacently to an electron emission plate grounded through a reset FET. A metalized plate is isolated from the emission plate (capacity-coupled thereto) and grounded through an electric charge separating FET. The shattering and filtering at the sensor are conducted as follows. The frame is biased by a prescribed amount to control a surface work function of the emission plate and to set an incident light frequency by which photoelectrons are emitted from the emission plate, and thus, the shattering and filtering at the sensor are provided. The shattering is provided by gating the metalized plate with the use of the charge separating FET.
